In an effort to enhance the preserved landscape of Latvia, the proposed architecture respects the history and heritage of its place. Appealing to the vernacular architecture of Latvia, the proposed cabins seek to activate the five senses both consciously and subconsciously. The combination of thatch roofing, timber construction, and facade operability root itself in traditional construction methods, yet with a highly adaptive assembly. The cabin is able to exist in a spectrum of forested sites due to its slender profile and conservative footprint.
